<F4>Special Order will prompt a ‘customer lookup field’.
Look up or add customer from special order form.
End and <F9>Print receipt
Log special order (with transaction number in Airtable).
Staple form to receipt and leave in register (will pass to buying office).
Receiving - process special order:
- See Special Order receipt for Airtable #.
- Check whether it is Hold or Notify.
- Contact customer to see if still interested.
- New Sum-IT window with your initials
- Point of sale → Cash Register → Sales Department Code #1
- <F2> Reload Order - Enter your initials & Transaction Number
- If converting to Hold:
- <F2> Add/Edit
- Arrow up to product and then <F7> Clear Special Order
- End → F3 pick ticket - enter through PO# and shipping - prints to printer in the Buying Office.
- If just notify or canceling:
- Be sure to close down Sumit POS at the end of your shift
